09 Aug 30 Years Anniversary Celebration
When Hanns Sidel Foundation (HSF) reached out to us they wanted us to custom make an experience for them that will not only celebrate 30 years of them working in Kenya but also open the doors to their brand new office location at the Pavillion in Wetlands. The brief was to transform their office space into a welcoming reception area for their VIP and VVIP guests. HSF would hold the official launch in their office space while we transformed the building’s rooftop area into a post launch cocktail area. The event was graced by the the HSF Head of Mission in East Africa Ms. Uta Staschewski, The German Ambassador to Kenya Ms. Jutta Frasch the Environment Cabinet Secretary Ms. Judy Wakhung’u who was the Chief Guest.
To completely give the office an out of office vibe, we lit up the space with 30 LED up lighting in tune with the organizations brand identity of blue and white. The up lighting we designed to play off the numerous glass and panel white walls around the room. At the center of the offices largest space we setup a clear perspex glass stage which we lite up with the trademark blue up lighting and completed with the top to bottom HSF branding backdrop and sleek black and silver podium. The stage would serve a multi-use as it was the live band’s main platform as well as the speakers. For the media presentations we set up a portable 100” HD screen. For the live sound, we designed an intimate setup to ensure that everything from the videos to the presenters, and the band were crystal clear. The band had the guests entertained with the melodies from the Guitar, Saxophone and Congas.
For the cocktail on the rooftop, we set up marquee tents which we lined with ceiling string lighting, providing just enough light for the rooftop and ambience. The sound was designed to accommodate the band and the background instrumentals. All a recipe for a fun, yet professional corporate soiree on a week night.
