As a connoisseur of all things Business, Think Business Africa hosts annually the Industry Standard Banking Awards Kenya. As a measure of merit, every year banks submit to the Think Business judging panel their entries for the different categories, with keen measuring metrics the panel then settles on the best in the categories. The culmination of this is the annual grand fete that is the Banking Awards.
To design an event that kept up with the merit, Think Business reached out to Onyx Sound & Lights to deliver the audio visual elements as well as lighting, entertainment and stage.
The stage wings were created from an Orgiami concept of folded paper only this time we made it to life like scale. For the audio visual, we incorporated four 60” LED Screens for branding and informational purposes, these were held together with a goalpost truss setup that serviced the event branding, the screens and the lights.
The Onyx band opened the night’s festivities as soon as the ballroom doors swung open with their renditions of the classics. The five piece band, added an air of sophistication as they performed; from the steady tunes from our lead vocalist to the intermittent Sax solos and drum solos; the richness of the performance was appreciated by the guests. The band provided the entertainment all through to the end of the dining session when the award ceremony begun. The role was soon taken over by our resident DJs as they provided background and celebratory tunes as the awards were announced. To celebrate the night, the DJ then took over to set the mood for those who would carry forth their celebrations later into the night.
