Wedding Planning

Onyx Events offers 3 packages to fit wherever you are in the wedding planning process, whether it be the very initial stages or almost to the finish line. Prefer to build your own? We’re happy to customize a package that’s perfect for you and your event! Although we are based in Nairobi, we’re happy to travel to wherever your event will be!

 

The Orchid Package- Full Planning & Concept

This package is for the Client that wants guidance from start to finish, from “I said yes!” to “I do”. It includes a complete team to work your wedding It covers all of the details that go into making a wedding truly extraordinary. Whether it is a small intimate wedding or a big lavish event, we will help you plan every detail and be there by your side every step of the way! The full planning wedding package includes:

    • Initial consultation with the Clients
    • Unlimited phone and email availability
    • Unlimited planning meetings between
    • Clients and Planner
      Help to prepare and understand an event budget
    • Prepare a schedule/timeline and checklists for the planning process

  • Assist with walk-throughs, selection and booking of ceremony and reception venues
    • Assist with selecting a color scheme, theme and style of the wedding
    • Answer wedding etiquette questions
    • Assist with selection of event attire and accessories, accompaniment to fittings if desired
    • Help with finding, negotiating, and booking suitable vendors for your event. We will schedule appointments and accompany clients to up to three meetings per vendor category: Baker; Caterer; Florist; Music; Photographer; Rentals; Videographer; Wedding; Attire; Officiate; Transportation.
    • Easy monthly “pay as you plan” installments.
    • Coordinate with vendors to ensure services/products are provided in a timely manner as contracted
    • Ongoing updates and consultation with clients about Vendors services/products
 
 
    • Assistance with invitations and tracking RSVP’s
    • Ceremony planning 
    • Prepare itineraries to be provided to vendors for the day of
    • Final walk-through with client at selected sites month of the wedding
    • Final timelines prepared the month of the wedding
    • Final consultation with vendors the month of the wedding
 
 
    • Final meeting covering all details with client, the month of wedding and the week prior to the wedding. This two hour planning meeting will include:
      • Ceremony planning, processional and recessional
      • Preparation of rehearsal and wedding day itinerary as a timeline to be provided to client and vendors
      • Final walk-through with client at venue location
      • Collection and inventory of wedding items to be setup on wedding day, such as candles, photographs, guest books, wedding favors, toasting glasses, serving sets, programs, seating cards, table numbers, decorations etc.

Lily of the Valley Package- Partial Planning

This package is for the bride who wants to do most of the wedding planning herself but wants a local resource to help along the way! Includes:

 

  • The partial planning wedding package includes:
  • Initial consultation with the Clients
  • Unlimited phone and email availability
  • Planning meetings between Clients and Planner
  • Prepare Client timelines and checklists
 
 
  • Email reminders first of the month of what needs to be accomplished that month
  • Visit to both wedding and reception location to go over setup details
  • Assist with selecting a color scheme, theme and style of the wedding
  • Answer etiquette questions
  • Provide a list of preferred vendors as needed for the Client to set appointments with:
    Baker; Caterer; Florist; Musicians; Photographer; Rentals; Videographer; Wedding; Attire; Officiate;

A Planning meeting one month before wedding which will include:

 

  • Ceremony planning, processional, recessional, placement
  • Preparation of rehearsal and wedding day itinerary as a timeline to be provided to Client and Vendors
  • Final walk-through with Client at selected venue sites month of the wedding
  • Draft inventory list of wedding items to be setup on wedding day, such as candles, photographs, guest books, wedding favors, toasting glasses, serving sets, programs, seating cards, table numbers, decorations etc.

The Blush Rose Package- Day of Coordination

The basic package for the bride who has a handle on all the details but wants a wedding coordinator on the big day to make all that planning come to life! Includes:

 

  • Day of Event Timeline Creation
  • Final Vendor Confirmations
  • Unlimited email & phone correspondence
  • Management of all vendor arrival & setup
 
 
  • Setup of personal belongings such as guest book, favors & other decor
  • Oversight of all timeline items ceremony through reception
  • Distribution of all final vendor payments (if applicable)
  • Retrieval of all personal belongings at the conclusion of the event

Platinum Package

With this comprehensive package, you will have the luxury of having peace of mind leading up to your executive event and knowing that the Onyx Events team will take care of every aspect of the planning and execution process, from the beginning to the last detail. We will attend all appointments, serve as your point-person with vendors, and perform all of the legwork and negotiations on your behalf. Our most comprehensive service, the Platinum package will transform the otherwise exhausting and complicated process of planning your event into a fun, creative, and stress-free experience.

Services include:

  • Unlimited phone & email correspondence from day of contracted service through your event day
  • Venue scouting & suggestions
  • Coordinator’s presence at unlimited site visits
  • Customized list of preferred vendors
  • Coordinator’s presence at unlimited vendor meetings, menu tasting & design sessions
  • Thorough review of all contracts
  • Personalized event checklist and budget
  • Appointment scheduling & reminders

The Gold Package

The Gold package is the perfect solution for companies that wish to take a hands-on approach to the planning of their event, but would like the direction and assistance of a professional to make the process less overwhelming. You will receive all of the extensive consultation services that come with the Platinum package, but instead of having Onyx Events make the arrangements and execute the plans, you will carry out these tasks with our guidance. Our goal is for you to save time, money, and eliminate stress by supplementing your hard work with our expertise.

  • Venue research and coordination (City/Hotels/Convention Facilities)
  • Coordinate all event specifications, rate requirements, food and beverage, and audiovisual

The Silver Package

This service is designed for our clients who have already planned their event ‘to the T’, but don’t want to worry about anything on the big day and require day-of coordination services.

 

Whether it’s a corporate luncheon, off-site, or  fund raiser, we know that you would rather relax, not worry about details, nor run around dealing with logistics. With our day-of coordination service we will manage all of the on-site logistics down to the last detail. Prior to the event, we will meet with you and walk through the details of your event. On the day-of your event, Onyx Events will take over so that you can relax knowing everything is taken care of. We offer a wide range of DOC services to suit every need. If you are interested in a service that is not outlined, feel free to ask. After all, its your event your way!

 

Our day-of coordinating option will offer you:

 

  • Two (2) hour consultation in order to gather all needed information about your event

* As all of our packages are fully customized to your particular needs and wishes, exact pricing will be determined by the size and scope of your event, the scope of coordination services, time requirements, the number of months lead time prior to the event, and travel (if necessary).
