For this Massachusetts based bride and her groom, home is where there heart was and where memories were to be created. For Alice and Chege there was never a question of where they would tie the knot, it would always be home. This couple approached us for live sound and lighting design services and we were delighted work with them.
On a warm July afternoon, Onyx was determined to set the pace for the afternoon reception to celebrate the couple’s nuptials at the picturesque New Reign Gardens in Thika. For us to do so, it was critical to understand the guest profile of our clients and cater to just that. Our adept team during the pre-event meeting were able to get the brief and deliver to expectations. With a diverse guest list blending those from up-country, the city and the United States was a balancing act. We had to ensure all the guests were entertained.
The mood needed to be just right as the reception transitioned into the evening which is why our lighting experts created the custom design work that would carry the reception to the next phase of the celebration: The party!
For the couple the evening party was an opportunity to celebrate the day with their close friends and family, this was the ‘thank you, lets party’ session and showing gratitude for the support they were accorded thus far by their close friends and families. With Onyx, there is no curfew, we strictly abide by the ‘last man standing’ policy which in this case was well into the morning for the couple’s evening party. Our in house DJs carried the guests along on a musical journey that had them getting down to all their favorites songs.
