Awer & Christina’s love story is one that transcended time and space. From our first meeting with the couple, our team sought to create an experience so magical & celebratory for the Canada and Uganda based couple. The team at Onyx was tasked with providing pristine audio visual services, great music to dance the night away to and sophisticated yet engaging MC services to ensure that we remained on schedule for all the fun segments of the program.
The couple celebrated their love in style in the luxurious leafy green Limuru (Fushia Gardens @Eldo Farm) with 250 of their friends and family who travelled across the world from Cape Town to Juba to London; to witness the joining of Awer & Christina.
The beautiful ceremony begun at 3.00pm where guests arrived to ‘love-in-air’ mood set by our perceptive Djs. The bridal party entrance set the tone for the I-dos as we played music that was completely attuned to the couples tastes and preferences. The saxophonist & Pianist provided an elegant touch for the walk down the aisle as Christina’s entrance was echoed by Etta James’ timeless “At Last”. Though our comprehensive Event Prep Form, we ensured that all the musical selections for the day were tailored to the couple and their guests. The ceremony was followed by a refreshing cocktail complete with a jazzy musical background where guests caught-up allowing the couple and their party time for a photo-shoot.
The cocktail session smoothly moved to the wedding reception where the guests were able to get their dancing shoes on in anticipation of the newlyweds’ arrival to the party. Needless to say that by the time Mr & Mrs Ater arrived the party was ready to go-on full swing! Our perceptive MC was able to ensure that the wedding program ran smoothly while providing a license to have fun for all the guests! We were able to ensure that though the day was indeed quite busy for the couple (as weddings usually are) there was enough time for them to celebrate and engage with their guests.
